Obedience – The agent must follow all lawful instructions of the principal (seller or buyer)
Loyalty – The agent must act only to protect and advance the principal’s interest before those of another buyer or seller.
Disclose – The agent must reveal to the principal, in timely fashion, all pertinent information, including adverse facts which could affect the principals’ interest in the transaction.
Confidentiality – The agent must protect all privileged information about his/her principal. The agent cannot use the information for the interest of the agent or others. Information gained in a client level relationship maintains is confidential nature forever.
Accountability – The agent must protect all personal property and money received on the principal’s behalf. She or he must render an account and return the valuables at the principal’s request.
Reasonable Care – The agent must protect his or her principal from foreseeable harm and must exercise skill and competence in promoting the best interest of his or her principal.
